Privacy policy
Effective 10 August 2026
Latitude is a travel-planning app made by Dale Arbogast. It plans trips with you, keeps the day's plan on your phone, and reworks the plan when you tell it something changed. This page says what information the app handles, why, and what never happens to it.
What Latitude keeps
- Your account. An email address and a password, used only to sign you in. During the beta, accounts are created by us on your behalf.
- Your trips. The plans, day timelines, chat messages, retrospectives, and the preferences Latitude learns from what you tell it. This is the product — it exists so your plans are there when you open the app.
- Forwarded booking emails. If you forward a confirmation email to your personal Latitude address, we read it to place the booking on your plan. The extracted reservation stays with your trips; the raw email is deleted automatically within 90 days.
Your voice
When you talk to Latitude, the recording is sent to our servers, turned into text, and discarded. Recordings are not stored. When Latitude reads something aloud, the audio is generated on demand and not stored either.
Who processes it
Latitude runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States. To do its work it sends the relevant parts of your content to AI providers (xAI and OpenAI) to generate plans, transcriptions, and speech — under API terms that do not permit your content to be used for training their models. Weather comes from Apple Weather, requested for the places on your trip, never for your phone's location; forecasts are cached by city, not by person.
What never happens
- No advertising, and no analytics or tracking of any kind in the app.
- Your information is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
- The app does not use your device's location.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS and is stored on AWS infrastructure with access limited to what the service needs to run.
Deleting your data
Email dale@aithisjob.com from your account address and we will delete your account and everything associated with it, normally within a few days. (In-app account deletion is planned before general release.)
Children
Latitude is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, this page will say so, and the effective date above will change.
